Accessory HF Engraving Spindle for the Wabeco F1210

In the past, I milled small circuit boards and signs on my Proxxon MF70 CNC. Although this machine is otherwise very well suited for such kind of jobs, its very small Y axis travel makes machining awkward: Workpieces cannot be larger than 40 mm -- a severe limitation.
Since the Wabeco mill's spindle speed is way too low for engraving, larger jobs take a lot of time on this machine. I bought a small Perske spindle off ebay and attached it to the milling head of my F1210.

I had to redo the ER20 collet holder because the runout of the original holder was completely inacceptable. The first test clearly showed that the spindle fan was extremely noisy. Thanks to the mill's CNC capabilities, I was able to machine an adapter designed to provide smooth air flow from the round computer fan to the hexagonal interior of the spindle motor. The computer fan runs much more quietely now and the spindle is adequately cooled.
