Description:
I acquired this very nice cast bronze kit for an oscillating steam engine
from Ludger Keifler. The
cast bronze blanks were of high quality and easy to machine. After machining,
all components were glass bead blasted, which results in a clean surface, but
does not destroy the typical appearance of the casted parts. The piston was
machined from grade 1.3403 stainless steel.
A distinctive feature of this engine is the piston rod guide being aligned with the extended axis of the cylinder.
